Green-e Certifies Go-Green's "EcoSave"
July 25, 2000

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - The Center for Resource Solutions (CRS) announced today that their Green-e Program has certified Go-Green.com's 100 percent renewable energy product, EcoSave. When consumers see the Green-e certification, they can be sure they are purchasing electricity from reliable renewable resources that meet Green-e's strict consumer protection and environmental standards.

"It's a pleasure to welcome Go-Green into the Green-e family of renewable energy marketers. Their EcoSave offering means that Californians will now have even more Green-e certified electricity choices," said Jan Hamrin, Executive Director of CRS.

"Go-Green.com has always provided only 100% renewable power to Californians since deregulation began more than two years ago," said Rick Kohl, President, Go-Green.com. "Having the Green-e label instills further confidence in our product to consumers."

To receive Green-e certification, 50-100% of an electricity product's supply must come from eligible renewable resources such as wind, solar, geothermal, biomass or small-scale hydro projects. Go-Green.com's EcoSave is based on 100 percent renewable energy and is currently available to residents and businesses in California.

Under the terms of the Green-e Program, Go-Green.com agrees to abide by the Green-e Code of Conduct, which includes submitting marketing materials to CRS to make sure customers receive truthful information about EcoSave. Go-Green.com will also undergo an annual verification process to document that the company purchased enough renewable electricity to meet its EcoSave marketing claims.

California's electricity market has been deregulated since 1998, giving consumers the option to choose their power provider. CRS launched Green-e in California in 1997, in Pennsylvania in 1998, and in New Jersey and throughout New England in 1999. Currently, over 200,000 customers nationwide purchase Green-e certified electricity.
