2 Superstars to Join the Renewable Energy "Dream Team"
December 7, 2000
SAN FRANCISCO -- Tapping into the best of talent of the San Francisco Bay Area, the Center for Resource Solutions announced today that it is bringing in two heavy hitters to aid in its efforts to promote renewable energy.
Dan Lieberman has already set in motion plans for the future as head of the Center's National Green Pricing Accreditation Program. Active in the Midwest, the Southeast, the mountain states, and the Pacific Northwest, the Accreditation Program sets best practice benchmark environmental and consumer protection standards for utility green pricing programs. He will also direct efforts towards integrating energy efficiency criteria into the Center's green power programming -- "Green-e PLUS."
Prior to joining CRS, Lieberman worked as Energy Product Manager at Utility.com, an internet-based green power marketer. Lieberman has a decade of experience in resource efficiency issues, including positions at local, state, and federal agencies as well as in the non-profit and private sectors. He received MBA and Master of Public Affairs degrees from The University of Texas at Austin. "I look forward to contributing to CRS's efforts to promote effective renewable energy and energy efficiency deployment strategies" Lieberman said.
New Communications Director Kėri Bolding joins the "dream team" to spearhead the organization's efforts to bolster national media coverage of clean energy issues. Bolding will develop and implement an integrated communications strategy for the entire Center's programming, including the Green-e Renewable Electricity program. Through opening the eyes of the public to the work of CRS and bringing renewable energy issues to the forefront in the national media, Bolding will use public education tools to help clean the nation's electricity system.
Bolding brings a strong communications background and persistent commitment to public interest issues to CRS. Prior to joining CRS she was Director of Programming and Education at Artmosphere, an innovative start-up company aimed at integrating arts education and a retail environment. Bolding also founded and served as Executive Director for Expressions of Soul, a Palo Alto-based non-profit that used art education and personal expression as a community empowerment and education tool in inner city neighborhoods. Bolding is a resident of Oakland and holds a Communications degree from Stanford University.
CRS is a non-profit based in San Francisco's Presidio that brings together diverse interests to preserve the environment, encourage sustainable economic growth and promote clean energy for present and future generations. CRS staffers are talented professionals committed to protecting the environment and increasing the nations' use of clean energy (more information on CRS is available at www.resource-solutions.org).
