Call for Comments: Vietnam Market Appendix to the Green-eTM Renewable Electricity Standard for International Certification
Feedback from all interested stakeholders will be accepted through 29 May 2026
May 11, 2026 | Program Update

Beginning 20 April 2026, the Center for Resource Solutions (CRS), an international NGO that creates policy and market solutions to advance sustainable energy, is launching an open stakeholder comment period on a new document that provides access to certification for voluntary renewable electricity and Environmental Attribute Certificate (EAC) transactions in Vietnam. Comments on this document, the Vietnam Market Appendix to the Green-eTM Renewable Electricity Standard for International Certification, will be accepted through 29 May 2026.

This Market Appendix will provide market- and region-specific criteria, as well as the resulting Green-eTM certification criteria that apply to Vietnam. Market Appendices may contain criteria that are stricter than the minimum requirements contained in the International Standard and add additional criteria for meeting the intent of the Green-eTM program.

Please note that Market Appendices to the International Standard do not replace any Green-eTM certification standards that already apply to particular countries or regions, including the standards for Chile, Singapore, and Taiwan R.O.C.

Stakeholders are encouraged to provide feedback through an online questionnaire, linked below, that contains targeted questions about the Vietnam Market Appendix. Comments are also accepted in any language via email at gabby.easthouse@resource-solutions.org.

The Vietnam Market Appendix references specific sections and criteria of the Green-eTM Renewable Electricity Standard for International Certification, and it may be helpful to review that document as well.

As a part of the Green-eTM Standard setting process, all feedback will be considered with the goal of developing a final version of the Vietnam Market Appendix, which will be voted upon by the Green-eTM Governance Board, an independent body of experts that represent major stakeholder groups. For general information on standard setting, please see Green-eTM Standard Setting.
