Recognized Third-Party Auditors
Green-e® certification program participants are required to complete an annual verification process in which they engage a third-party auditor to review and report on their certified transactions. Participants independently contract with and retain auditors and are permitted to use any third-party auditor to comply with program requirements, as CRS’s Green-e® verification audit protocols can be followed by any Certified Public Accountant.
Please be aware that auditors do not conduct verification, which is done solely by CRS, nor are auditors considered or recognized by CRS as “verification bodies.” Only CRS performs the complete verification process for certification purpose.
For the convenience of program participants, Center for Resource Solutions (CRS) offers this list of third-party auditors who have successfully completed at least one Green-e® Energy or Green-e® Climate verification audit.
