La Norma de Energía Renovable Green-e® para Chile ("Norma de Chile") habilita la certificación Green-e® Energy de productos de energía renovable en toda la República de Chile, a fin de acelerar el desarrollo de la generación renovable y de los mercados de electricidad renovable, y proporcionar a los consumidores un mecanismo significativo a través del cual pueden expresar su preferencia por electricidad renovable. La Norma de Chile es un Estándar Regional bajo el Marco Green-e® para la Certificación de Energía Renovable y fue desarrollado en consulta con las partes interesadas, locales e internacionales. La Norma de Chile incluye secciones sobre:
- Interacción entre la compra de energía renovable y las leyes y políticas locales.
- Criterios de sostenibilidad ambiental para recursos renovables elegibles
- Uso de sistemas de seguimiento de energía renovable.
- Apoyo a nueva generación de electricidad renovables.
- Exclusión de generadores ubicados en tierras indígenas.
En este último punto, CRS planea llevar a cabo un proceso de divulgación y consulta específica para tratar a generadores ubicados en tierras indígenas, determinar los criterios específicos para evaluar la certificación Green-e® Energy con dichos generadores. Se publicará más información en esta página a medida que esté disponible. Además de la Norma de Chile en sí, el documento de Términos de Referencia para la Norma de Chile esclarece temas clave que aborda el Estándar de Chile, incluyendo el valor de mercado, la sostenibilidad, la comparación y la compatibilidad con otros estándares relevantes existentes, el riesgo de implementación y cómo abordar dicho riesgo.

The Green-e® Renewable Energy Standard for Chile ("Chile Standard") allows Green-e® Energy certification of renewable energy products throughout the Republic of Chile, in order to accelerate the development of renewable generation and renewable electricity markets, and to provide consumers a meaningful mechanism through which they can express demand for renewable electricity. The Chile Standard is a Regional Standard under the Green-e® Framework for Renewable Energy Certification and was developed in consultation with local and international stakeholders. The Chile Standard includes sections on:
- Interaction of renewable energy purchasing and local laws and policies
- Environmental sustainability criteria for eligible renewable resources
- Use of renewable energy tracking systems
- Support for new and upgraded renewable electricity generators
- Customer disclosure
- Excluding generators located on indigenous land
On this last point, if there is support for developing specific criteria for renewable electricity generators on indigenous land, CRS can conduct an outreach and comment process specific to this topic to determine such criteria for the Chile Standard. Please email comments@green-e.org with any feedback on whether and how such criteria should be developed, and/or to be notified when more information is available. More information will be posted on this page as it is available as well.
In addition to the Chile Standard itself, the Terms of Reference document for the Chile Standard lays out key issues the Chile Standard addresses, including market value, sustainability, comparison to and compatibility with other existing relevant standards, implementation risk and how to address such risk.
